It wasn’t too long ago that the days were sunny and we didn’t have to worry about planning a baby shower outside, because it hadn’t rained for weeks. I know, I’m being melodramatic about the rain, I live in Vancouver, I just need to get used to it. But it’s going to take me at least a few days to adjust.
In the meantime, I’m going to reminisce about those days. One morning in particular me and some of my friends all got together at Kits Beach, one of my favorite places in Vancouver, to celebrate little Baby Bronwyn. The original idea was to have the shower before she was born, per usual. But Bronwyn decided she’d like to come a little early. So we got the treat of having the guest of honor attend outside the womb.
Two other ladies and I put this together and I opted to work on decor since that sounded safer to me. I wouldn’t say design and aesthetic in general are necessarily my strongpoints, but I’m finding I really enjoy it and am just kind of learning as I work on personal projects and once in awhile, things like these. I kept it simple and not too girly, because I knew Bronwyn’s momma would appreciate that. And we also were meeting outside at a park, so I was limited in what I could and actually needed to display since the setting in itself is pretty gorgeous. The triangle banner from Pinterest was my favorite probably because I managed to make it myself and not mess it up. It was super easy and cheap and gave me a tiny vote of confidence that maybe I can be a little crafty
All in all, it was a fun morning. Enjoy…

Gorgeous photos. And what a great idea to have the shower outside!
