If you are looking to take some family photos in time for the upcoming holiday season, while also contributing to a local children’s museum, this event is for you. This Sunday I’ll be participating in the Kidzu Great Shootout, where you can book a mini session with me or several other local professionals and all of the proceeds will go directly to the Kidzu Children’s Museum. A mini session is exactly that: a shorter version of a full length session with the intent of getting 10 or so great shots to use for Christmas cards and such. Sessions will be held at the beautiful UNC Botanical Gardens, and there will be lots of fun and free games and events that the kids will love. It’s a no brainer, family photos, fun day for the kids and all the while benefiting a good cause. Book online today!

Not only are my kids literally changing before my eyes, but this time of year, Autumn, my favorite, always seems to bring about changes for us. Of course the weather and air and leaves and amount of sunlight are changing, for the better in my opinion. I absolutely am in love with the weather we are having right now. I can’t tell you how many walks we have been on already, and many more to come I’m sure. It’s just so beautiful, I can’t get enough of it. Trying to soak it all up before the wind and wet of winter. Winter equals not my favorite, unless there is snow on the ground. And even then it gets old and brown and ugly quick. But that’s not the point. The point is that Fall is here, and it is heaven.
Other changes include a likely move in our near future. Yes, once again we’ll be packing up and heading North to Charm City. Trying not to think about the actual packing and moving to take place in the coming weeks, which also means that I’ve done absolutely nothing at this point to prepare for it. It’ll get done, it always does.
This blog is getting a little facelift of its own, slowly doing some tweaks, and that yellow just needed to go. And, happily, in between working on changes with my photography, shooting quite a bit, trying to keep up with Theo’s growth rate and Evelyn’s ability to all of the sudden have a conversation, I no longer am enemies with number 12. Yes, that’s right, this chick is fitting into her favorite skinny jeans again. How? I don’t really know since I put running on the back burner and have decided it’s totally beneficial to get a Twix every other time I’m at Target. I’m at Target a lot. Must be those all the walks. See? I told you Autumn is the best ever.
A few teasers from what I’ve been up to lately. Happy Tuesday!
